Bartlett Engineering Co. first opened it's workshops over 40 years ago. Since then it has slowly evolved it's machinery and premises to suit the changing needs of it's many customers.
The Company has invested heavily in the three key areas of it's operations.
The fabrication workshops are fully equipped offering ring rolling, section bending and plate rolling.
The machining workshop, soon to be expanded, is full to capacity of machines both manual and CNC. Careful investment in CNC machinery has left it possible to not only economically produce large production runs but to also be cost efficent on smaller production runs and one offs.
The Company also runs a specialist workshop which repairs and builds steam boilers and engines from small 1/2 size models to full size locos and traction engines |

Boilers supplied by GSTEC are of steel construction are of the highest quality and comply to the latest European standards EC 97/23 (pressure vessels regulations) We do not recommend copper boilers for our range of models due to inadequate stuctual properties.
They are manufacture in accordance to BS 2790 and welded to BS EN 288/287
They are supplied with full certification and an independent hydraulic test certificate |

Maxitrak have a long standing reputation in the design & manufacture of model locomotives and we are please to announce we are making our own TIG welded boilers. These boilers are fully compliant to 97/23/EC cat 1 & 2 regulations as well as being welded to BS EN 288/287.
All copper TIG welded joints are as strong as the parent material so you don’t get solder deterioration over time, given reasonable care they should last a life time! |
