South Devon Miniature Railway

A 7¼ Inch Gauge railway set in the gardens at Buckfastleigh Station, on the South Devon Railway.
We have two routes that we operate at the current time and both are about half a mile.
The journey time dependant on the loco heading the train is around 6 to 8 minutes and runs along the edge of the River Dart taking in views of the gardens of the South Devon Railways as well as picnic area’s, engine sheds and other parts of the railway that not all the visitors get to see.

Fenland Light Railway

The Fenland Light Railway was first established over 20 years ago from members of the Ramsey Miniature Steam Railway Society. The present membership of around 25 souls of varying backgrounds enjoy a friendly and sociable atmosphere whenever we meet.
Our present available engines range from an ever reliable Romulus, a petrol 0-4-0 and 2 electric loco’s. The rolling stock consists of a pair of sit in coaches, some sit-astrides and a variety of permanent way wagons.
We operate on an oval of track of approx. 300 yards long the majority of which is at sea level but dips below mean sea level in a few places. This is probably unique in the United Kingdom except if you visit a mine.
