Our interests are not limited to railways and locomotives. Some of our members also have interests in clocks, petrol engines, boats, marine engines, stationary engines, traction engines and steam lorries. Many of our members are skilled model engineers who can provide advice, while other members are content to be enthusiastic amateurs or simply enjoy being a member of our society
Chesterfield & District Model Engineering Society
The Society aims are to bring together persons from all walks of life who share a common interest in miniature engineering in all its forms. The excellent facilities at Hady with its tracks for locomotives and there are also areas for traction engines to show their paces. As the land is undulating, both the ground level and raised tracks make challenging driving for all locomotives.
