South Devon Miniature Railway

A 7¼ Inch Gauge railway set in the gardens at Buckfastleigh Station, on the South Devon Railway.
We have two routes that we operate at the current time and both are about half a mile.
The journey time dependant on the loco heading the train is around 6 to 8 minutes and runs along the edge of the River Dart taking in views of the gardens of the South Devon Railways as well as picnic area’s, engine sheds and other parts of the railway that not all the visitors get to see.

Plymouth Miniature Steam Club

Membership of Plymouth Miniature Steam is open to anyone who has an interest in building or operating miniature steam operated models, or any other engineering activities. Members operate live steam, petrol and battery powered railway models of 3, 5 and 7 inch gauges, on a ground level track, which measures almost half a mile. This is located in a valley on the outskirts of the city, that has been designated as a nature reserve.
