Brighton and Hove Society of Miniature Locomotive Engineers

The society was formed from part of Brighton Model Engineers in 1962. The aims of the Society are to encourage the building and operation of miniature steam locomotives as a hobby. The Society owns the 2,000 feet long miniature railway in Hove Park, which it operates in the summer months for the enjoyment of members and public alike

Wimborne District Society of Model Engineers

We are a small group of about 50 members young and old located near to the town of Wimborne (Dorset) We have a ground level layout in 5″ gauge which is about 1/3 mile please refer to the track and signalling page for more details. Members meet most Sunday mornings around 9am for a chat and a cup of tea and to do some general maintenance.

Maidstone Model Engineering Society

This is the website of the Maidstone Model Engineering Society. We are situated in Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent, where we operate the miniature railway that is open to the public every Sunday afternoon during the Summer.

Didcot Railway Centre

See our unique collection of Great Western Railway steam engines, coaches, wagons, buildings and small relics; and a recreation of Brunel’s broad gauge railway. Join us in our rural setting based around the original 1930s engine shed.

The Railway Centre is open every weekend throughout the year.

Western Steam Model Engineers

We specialise in the production of copper boilers, for live steam locomotives, and traction engines. These are built to published designs,or supplied drawings. While boilers are usually made to order, there may be a boiler available “off the shelf”, as a result of a cancellation etc
